Hana Reid | Co-Founder
Hana is a grade 12 student at Brentwood College School. She has been passionate about period poverty organising drives for homeless shelters in her local community, as well as working with her MP to write legislation for diclosure of menstrual product materials. After working on a drive with Moon Time Sisters, she became more aware to the unique challenges that rural communities face and became inspired to start Flow Box.

Ezgi Kara | Co-founder
Kara is an International student, who has lived in China, Thailand, Turkey, and Canada. Currently a 12th-grade student boarding at Brentwood College School. - Passionate about global equity, women’s rights, and education. During my time in Mor Salkim, a Women’s Solidarity Association and 24/7 crisis line it sparked her interest in Women’s rights. Living close to locals in Thailand who live in poverty, hearing stories about inaccessibility to period products and the challenges they had to face sparked her passion for this problem. She was inspired to start FlowBox through shared experiences and stories on menstrual inequity. She wants to empower Indigenous women, incorporate the public, and educate individuals through new initiatives.

Fareena Khan | Co-founder
Fareena is a grade 12 international student at Brentwood College School. Growing up in England, Fareena has always been interested in empowering marginalised communities. She is passionate about social change and advocating for global equality. Working alongside large non-profits such as ‘Equitas” and “EFE”, Fareena has advocated for the rights of Indigenous youth, from equal access to healthcare to bettering the educational opportunities offered on Vancouver Island. Through these experiences, she became aware of rural Indigenous communities' unique socioeconomic challenges and wanted to make a change one step at a time which inspired her to work with FlowBox.
